Project 365 Day 78: Night Market

Project 365 Day 78: Night Market

My dad arrived a couple of days ago here in Melbourne. It was the first day of the Winter Night Market as well so we went to the night market at around 630 PM which was already buzzing with people. I am huge on night markets because of the lively and energetic vibe that it exudes. I just always love discovering new eats, the chatter, the crowd. It is really fun!

We decided to get the Provincial paella from Simply Spanish which I have already tried three times in the past. I always bring my guests to try the paella here as it is simply the best! We also got the Steak and Eggs from Spanish Gourmet Caterers which my brother almost ate by himself, a stunt that we found so amusing because the bread was humongous. It tastes so fresh as well which made me get why my brother was able to finish it by himself. After which we also tried the beef Polish dumplings from Pierogi Pierogi which I found very interesting and completely different from what us Asians are used to having. It tastes nice and simple though and I also love how fine the beef strips were made to be. We also got the Kotthu, a Sri Lankan dish made with diced roti which I found to be a genius idea as it tasted divine! We had it topped with a mildly spiced Chicken curry and yogurt which worked perfectly well all together. For dessert, we tried the new trend Spaghetii Gelato or Spago which looked so cute as it really resembled spaghetti!

There were so many dishes that we still love to try so we hope to come back here soon!
