Friday, the eve of Saturday as we fondly call it in our workplace, is my most favorite day out of all the days of the week. Friday holds a lot of promises. Friday allures and seduces. The thought of weekend being just a grasp away makes me want to end the work-week and my Friday with a bang and be more productive. I feel like I can stretch myself more and give my all on a Friday because I know that relaxation and fun are just around the corner. It seduces in the sense that it makes me feel that the weekend is almost there but not yet. I still have to somehow work hard for it. And when I do work hard, it rewards me with something great which makes Friday a sort of a seducer but a seducer that does not give you false hope but give you what you deserve.
The best part in a Friday though is the Friday night: that stretch that starts after you leave the workplace until that moment you decide to sleep. Friday night has that illusion of infiniteness. It only ends when you say so. I can do movie marathons with my partner, I can cook a new dish, I can lie on the couch and be lazy, I can write, I can read. The possibility is endless as the greatest thing about a Friday night is it can seemingly makes time stop.
